The Club

The aim of Med AgriFood Club is to propose itself to the international distribution, which has the highest expectations in terms of quality, an actual, thus well defined, quality: wholesomeness of the products, organoleptic characteristics, transparency and documented control of the production system and identification of origin.

Food is culture, specially in Mediterranean countries such as Italy, Spain, Greece and France, where there are ages of tradition.
International consumers are strongly interested in food made in the Mediterranean area and there are many imitations of the Mediterranean food specialties (e.g. Parmigiano Reggiano (Italy) and Feta (Greece) cheeses, or Rioja wine (Spain)).

Med AgriFood Club, an association of producers and export / import operator of the agri-food industry of the Mediterranean area can attract the attention of the international distribution and direct it to a selection of original and authentic foods:

  • giving big scope and prominence also to typical PGI, PDO and organic productions in the Mediterranean area;
  • making visible the productions and the producers of the Club, together with their distinctive features and production reliability;
  • by planning periodic communication and information events.

The aim

Members profile

For these reasons, the profile a member of the Club must have is that of entrepreneurs with export oriented business, product and market culture and with suitable technologies for the type of clients to whom the product will be destined: the international distribution.

Inside Med AgriFood Club, the international distribution will be able to better identify products and producers in the Mediterranean area, enjoying their characteristics and reliability, particularly for productions with private label.
